Figma provides a dynamic platform for seamless collaboration, allowing individuals to work together efficiently on projects. Noteworthy is its concise interface, strategically designed to minimize cognitive load and reduce the overall cost of study.
In my tutorial, I utilized QuickTime to capture both screen activity and voice, creating a comprehensive screencast. The objective was to guide viewers by combining visuals and semantics, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience. Towards the end of the video, I demonstrated the use of Figma features to showcase prototypes, creating a captivating moment that can hold viewers’ attention even in the closing seconds.
Who is my audience for screencast?
With post-secondary students as my target audience, individuals already equipped with the skills to absorb new knowledge and tools, I adhered to Mayer’s principles to avoid cognitive overload. The focus was on highlighting Figma’s core functionalities essential for daily prototyping needs. However, it’s important to note that Figma offers a plethora of additional features awaiting exploration for those students who develop a heightened interest in the platform.
